Hello,I’m currently in the process of managing an artist’s social media pages, and their original YouTube account (which we have login-access too fully, and have updated all security settings on the Google account) is asking to verify the switch to a brand account by using the OLD phone number to verify, which is no longer associated with the account..It’s been roughly 4 days since I updated the security recovery phone number via the Google account. Is this something that just takes a long period of time to update in the system or is there another way around it or workaround to make the switch to a Brand account? To clarify, I am logged in to the Google account in question- I have the current password, and full access to the Google/YouTube account and have currently updated ALL of the settings/contact information, but YouTube still links to a verification step that ONLY gives the option to text an OLD security phone number.
If you have changed the phone number very recently , it’s better to wait full seven days ( without doing major changes ) . Also recommended to stay logged in continiously by one device . ( as backdoor ) Google is tighting up security , and logging out everywhere could eventually cause a lock-out ( even if you have all correct credentials ) .
