I created a short post, with a few photos, a link and a embedded youtube, I get the error message Your HTML content is invalid. I had to add a degree symbol in HTML , so I did use HTML in the document, but now… This warning message annoyingly: Switching to the compose mode may lose a part of your content.It seems a lot of people get this, but the blogger editor NEVER recovers if you never fix the HTML manually.My question is, how do I make the HTML valid? sure I could go find a tool that will find the broken tags, but why when the blogger should really be doing that anyway.
Conrad, in addition to larbi’s spot-on advice, please note that
This message often has no real consequence (though it might)The HTML editor flags things like missing tags by putting affected code in red (perhaps not useful for the color blind)You can insert the degree sign and other glyphs in Compose mode using the “insert special characters” tool.Hi,There is a great tool in Blogger that can help to better read your HTML code which is the format HTML (see picture), just click on the three lines and each element will be in a new line.Use also the little triangle next to the element to shrink-collapse it.Good luck;
