In march my estimated earnings were $400+ however today I still cannot see a balance on my adsense, it just says $0. I thought my 3rd of each month the balance would show?thank you

If your Adsense account is with a site or blog, then yes, your balance should have updated by now.
However if it’s with a YouTube channel, it won’t be updated until around April 12th-15th.
