Has anyone successfully installed Google Play on a Kindle Fire HD? 0 Recommended Answers 0 Replies

Fed up with the limited games and Apps on Amazon Fire, I found the guide online to install the files required to get Google Play onto Kindle Fire HD. It worked to a point!  However I can’t watch in-game videos to give perks and bonuses which is limiting some games.Any ideas anyone? A Google file I’ve missed?

Details

I’m sorry, but you can’t use the Google Play Store on Amazon devices.

Amazon actually puts blocks in their devices to keep them from working with the Play Store.  Amazon only wants to allow you to use Amazon’s own App Store.

It sounds like you already found the utorials that claim to be able to work around this, at least partially.  But, as you’ve discovered, they can be tough to do, may not work entirely, may stop working when Amazon releases an update, and can even cause your device to stop functioning at all.

Because of this, Google can’t support this and we don’t discuss it here in this forum.

Also, be VERY careful about anything that tells you to get app APK (install) files from other sources and side-load them.  Too many of those sources contain versions of apps that are packed with virus or malware.Google would LOVE to work with Kindle devices.

Even in their own Google devices, Google allows competing app stores.  Google doesn’t force their users to only use the Google Play Store.

This is 100% Amazon’s fault.  They work to lock the Google Play Store out of their devices.

The reason we don’t support the work-arounds here is because Amazon actively produces updates to block them.  We can’t get your hopes up and then have you find that everything stops working 3 months later.
