I haven’t logged into Drive for about a month. But all my folders & most of the files have disappeared. They’re not in trash (& anyway, I haven’t deleted them). I am logged into the correct account.I just don’t know what else to try. I don’t have it synced with a desktop – I have always only used it through a windows browser or via chrome on my phone. I also have the app on my iphone but can’t view it there either. I’ve tried multiple machines, browsers, logging on & off etc.Help!
Welcome to Google Drive Help Community!
Use the search option in Drive https://drive.google.com/drive/search
In the Drive search field, enter: is:unorganized owner:meWhen you find the file, move it to a folder in My Drive so it’s easier to find next time.
Check how to find or recover a file
Try advanced search: type in the search box words around an exact phraseFor personal accounts: We can help you recover recently deleted files for a limited time after they’re deleted if you use Google Drive with a consumer account (and not an account through your work, school, or other group) and one of these is true:
You created the file. You uploaded the file to Google Drive. You accepted ownership of the file from someone.
Send feedback from the drop down menu of the Help icon [?]. If your Google Account was deleted, you might not be able to recover your files.
If you are asking about your Google Workspace account I suggest you contact your administrator.
and finally contact Google Support. They have a tool which may help with file recovery during a short window of time.
