I need to discuss and dispute charges to our card. After our promotion was used, I was informed I would be contacted for approval on continuing our ad program prior to getting charged. We are a small business trying to make it work in a fluctuation economy without the funds or purpose to continue this service. I am extremely disappointed in the excessive charging and hope that google will do the right thing for a small business.
What do you mean “I was informed I would be contacted…?” Google Ads is a self-serve platform, and only does what you, the user, tell it to do. If it’s not working for you, then pause your campaigns and you won’t be charged any more.
You agreed in the Terms of Service when you created the account that you’d be responsible for charges accrued in the account, which only occur based on your direct input. Part of being a business owner is taking responsibility for your actions, and not trying to pass blame to someone else.
